TOG Code of Conduct
1.
To join TOG, you must be 16 years or older (or have Board approval), own a working microphone (yes, communication is non-negotiable), and be willing to contribute to the community.
2.
Members are required to read and follow the TOG Code of Conduct, all TOG policies, and Xbox Live’s terms of service. Ignorance is not an excuse!
3.
While members are encouraged (but not forced) to change their gamertag to reflect TOG, you’re expected to take pride in your membership. Represent us with style!
4.
Respect is non-negotiable. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of toxicity—including but not limited to racism or sexism—will not be tolerated. Everyone deserves a positive experience here.
5.
Members are expected to stay active in their squad, division, and the clan as a whole. This includes recruiting new members and fulfilling rank responsibilities. Slackers need not apply.
6.
All members are entitled to the “Open Door Policy” to approach leadership. However, please follow the chain of command—start with your direct leader. If your issue involves them, you’re allowed to skip one rung higher.
7.
Misspelled gamertags (e.g., "Tog" instead of "TOG") are a no-go for moving into staff positions. Spell it right if you want to climb the ranks!
8.
If you can’t attend required meetings or game nights, let your squad leader know ahead of time with a reason. Life happens, but communication is key.
9.
Need a break? If personal issues require you to go inactive, request a Leave of Absence (LOA) from your General. They’ll decide if it’s approved—don’t just disappear into the void.
10.
From Sergeant rank and up, members may not be affiliated with any other gaming clans, communities, or organizations. One allegiance, one family.
11.
Maintain professionalism during all TOG activities—gameplay, lobbies, chats, and beyond. Represent TOG as the awesome community it is.
12.
All members must read and understand the TOG ranking structure. Knowledge is power, after all.
13.
Self-promotion in public channels is not allowed. If you want to promote, you must have a subscription and use the designated self-promotion channel. Keep ignoring the rules, and you’ll be banned faster than you can say "I didn’t read the Code of Conduct."
We have a 3 strike action tolerance in the community
• First Offense – Warning:
Everyone makes mistakes. For your first slip-up, you’ll receive a clear and documented warning. Take it as an opportunity to course-correct.
• Second Offense – Suspension:Strike two means time out. You’ll be temporarily suspended to reflect on your actions and reset your approach to being a positive community member.
• Third Offense – Execution of Order 66:The final strike. At this point, your membership is terminated, and TOG will move forward without you.
Squad/Division Transfer Policy
A transfer may be needed for various reasons, such as dating, game-sharing issues, or other personal circumstances. For a division transfer, approval is required from both Division Leaders and any affected Generals. For a squad transfer, the Division Leader and both Generals must agree.
The transferring member must also demonstrate their commitment to the community by recruiting one new member for the squad they are leaving and two new members for the squad they are joining. Communication and cooperation are essential to ensure a smooth transition.
Dating Policy
We understand that in any close-knit community, especially in gaming, feelings can develop between members. However, we strongly advise against dating within the same squad. If a breakup occurs, it can disrupt team synergy and create unnecessary complications, taking resources away from the community’s overall enjoyment and progress.
To avoid these issues, members are asked to refrain from dating someone within their squad. If dating does occur, a transfer will be required. Keep in mind that the position you once held may already be filled after a transfer, potentially leading to a demotion. Remember, TOG is a gaming community, not a dating service. Let's keep it fun and focused!
Sexual Harassment Policy
As leaders and members of this community, we recognize the serious impact sexual harassment can have on individuals. Any case of sexual harassment is treated with the utmost priority and seriousness. Before a claim is made, the alleged perpetrator must be blocked. If harassment continues, the victim must present credible evidence, such as screenshots, voice recordings with visible representation, or screen recordings, to their squad leader.
This policy is in place to protect everyone’s safety and well-being. If a member is found guilty of sexual harassment, their membership will be immediately revoked.
Online Safety Policy
Any action involving taking someone offline, stealing accounts, or recording personal information for malicious purposes is strictly prohibited. If a member is found guilty of such actions by the security committee, their membership will be immediately terminated. We take online safety seriously to protect our community and its members.
Conclusion
If you don't read and follow this Code of Conduct, your head will be shaved—and you’ll have to deal with the Dad of TOG. Trust us, you don't want that. So take a few minutes, read the rules, and keep your hair.
